Moon Photo Competition

March 21st, 2011 by · 3 Comments · Grade 8

Over the weekend we had a TAS moon photo competition. It was a ‘supermoon’ as I’m sure you know, which means the moon was as close to the earth as it has been since 1993. It was a partially cloudy night but the moon eventually rose into clear skies. The winner will be announced here. Below is my effort at a moon photo. I used the ‘Fireworks’ setting on my digital camera as I read this would give the best results. However, the moon is still very bright and you can’t see any of its craters or features.
